Blitz Posters 2007
     Poster Campaign

The inside of a bathroom stall may never look the same again if Safe Campuses Now has anything to do with it. SCN has initiated a poster campaign that addresses issues such as exercise and pedestrian safety, date rape, DUI prevention and alcohol poisoning. The posters will be placed in bathroom stalls in local bars and restaurants. They will also appear in high schools and colleges including Piedmont, Gainesville and Athens Tech, along with The University of Georgia.

SCN worked with the Hospitality Resource Panel, business owners, students and law enforcement agencies to develop key topics. The posters pertaining to alcohol and pedestrian-related injuries will be funded through a grant from the Governor's Office of Highway Safety. Donations are being sought to fund other topics related to young adults. SCN is making a conscious effort to reach both male and female audiences.

In order to get these important messages across effectively, SCN interns majoring in marketing, public relations and health promotions and behavior consulted with Snowden Tatarski, a local marketing firm, and a graphic designer with Leon Farmer & Co.

"Bail Call"
I'll pick you up, but I won't bail you out.
What I won't do is bail you out of jail.  You can call your mom or uncle or even ask your new cell mate, for help, but if you get a DUI and go to jail, don't call and wake me up.
Before you try to drive yourself home, call me for a ride.  Because it is either me or your cell mate.
It's your call.
"Blow It"
It's your life, don't blow it.
Cocaine isn't content to simply ruin your health.  It wants to destroy your family, friendships, career, reputation, and worse yet, it destroys all these things before you realize it.  Before you even think about doing cocaine, ask yourself, what are you willing to lose?
"Don't Suffer in Silence"
He attacked you once.
You've been beating yourself up ever since.
If you are the victim of rape, speak out and tell someone so you can stop hurting and start healing.  Don't suffer in silence.
"No Excuses 'Back'"
Just because you think she looks like she wants it doesn't mean she wants it from you.  Think she wants to have sex?  Ask her.  And if she says no, it means no.  Against her will is against the law no matter what.  There is no excuse for rape.
"No Excuses 'Belly'"
Just because you think she looks like she wants it doesn't mean she wants it from you.  Think she wants to have sex?  Ask her.  And if she says no, it means no.  Against her will is against the law no matter what.  There is no excuse for rape.
"No Excuses 'Hip'"
Just because you think she looks like she wants it doesn't mean she wants it from you.  Think she wants to have sex?  Ask her.  And if she says no, it means no.  Against her will is against the law no matter what.  There is no excuse for rape.
"Prom After-Party"
Think prom was awesome?
Check out the after-party.
It doesn't matter if you're the life of the party when you're in jail.  Drinking and driving is a crime that can cost your future, freedom, and even your life.  This prom, keep it safe.

"Sleeping It Off"
He's sleeping it off.
Sleeping it off doesn't sober you up.  Even after a person passes out, blood alcohol content continues to rise.  The only thing that reverses the effects of alcohol is time - something a person with alcohol poisoning may not have.  Get your friends medical help or you may live to regret it.
"Speed"
Speed may win on the track, but it loses on the street.
One third of all fatal crashes involve speed.  As six-time pro stock champion Warren Johnson knows, getting there fast isn't as important as getting there safely.
Enjoy life in the slow lane.
"Your Call"
You can call me or the cops can call your parents.  It's your call.
We all have that one friend who didn't go out.  Before you make the decision to drink and drive, call her for a safe ride home.  She understands your life depends on it.
Hispanic:  "Cellphone"
Respeta al peaton.
cuelga el telefono y pon atencion
Hispanic:  "Trashed"
Hombre:  esta noche me voy a emborrachar hasta que me tengan que cargar a casa
No manejes embriagado.
El alcohol te puede intoxicar, tambien te puede matar.
